French tutor in St George's Hill.

St George's Hill is one of the most settled parts of my private practice. I have long-standing students on the estate: francophone families maintaining the language, professionals brushing up for work, and several teenagers I've seen all the way through GCSE and into A-Level.

Lessons on the estate are always at the student's home, in keeping with how things are done here. Discretion is part of the service, and I bring everything we need with me so no two lessons leave the same trail in the diary.

Several of the families I teach on St George's Hill are francophone or partly francophone. Lessons in those households often look more like proper conversation lessons in French than traditional tuition: keeping a child's vocabulary alive while they're educated in English, for example, or helping a non-native partner reach the level where family meals can switch language without anyone bowing out.

For pupils preparing for selective school entry exams, GCSE, or A-Level, the work is structured and exam-aware, but the speaking side stays alive throughout. By the time of the exam, the oral feels like the easy paper rather than the hard one.
